Too long to wait to see this…
or ‘Ne Me Quitte Pas’.
I only ever heard Nina Simone’s version but this RULES so bad. I’m on a Dusty tip for the rest of the weekend.

Oh, here’s Cassady and Kerouac just because. I want to stop loving Kerouac but can’t. I might love Hemmingway more and I’m sure I love McCullers more and I probably love ‘Franny and Zooey’ more than all of them but this changes…on every beat.
“Sometimes I think that knowledge – when it’s knowledge for knowledge’s sake, anyway – is the worst of all… Knowledge should lead to wisdom, and if it doesn’t, it’s just a disgusting waste of time! Wisdom is supposed to be the goal of knowledge.”

And where the hell is my illuminated stargazer globe? How am I supposed to lie in bed and think whimsical thoughts without it? Huh? I feel like a total fraud. Hurry up Mister Postie – I can’t be the self myself needs me to be without such a whimsical thing.

Nabokov is back from the dead. I cross everything in the hope that this is good but I’m just not sure…and against his wishes? Hmmm.

We go way back. I love his short stories and have loved every novel so far. He kills me.
So, I left my old job and they very kindly got me some lovely little gifts from the couldn’t-be-closer Design Museum.
Favourite is definitely the Chris Koens DishBunny. Loooooooooove it. Also love the milk jug by Seletti.

I feel tired as a cat today – all sleepy and purry. I hope today turns out good.
